Oban

On Friday, August 15, we drove into Oban. We wanted to have lunch at a restaurant called A Taste of Argyle, do some shopping, and check out the parking situation for our sea tour on Sunday. On our way into town, we saw this Cafe. (My sister’s married name is Shore.)

A Taste of Argyle had closed its kitchen early today, so we made a reservation for the next day. Instead, we ate at a restaurant called The View with a view of the harbor. Typical Scottish fare: me – scallops with black pudding; Gail – steak and haggis pie.

A view from The View: a ferry coming into port.

Gail let me take her picture on Oban’s beach. In the background is the place where our sea tour will launch from.
