Our Last Days in Garmisch
We wandered around Garmisch on Sunday, June 22 to Tuesday, June 24. Another view from our Airbnb. Sorry, if this blog has been heavy on the mountains recently, but mountains really defined our stay in this place.

A lot of the houses were elaborately decorated.

As were the stores

Saint Martins was decorated to the point of being garish, in my opinion

A flower clock in the park, which keeps the correct time!

An unusual way to serve a salad at Gasthaus zur Schranne

Looks like I’m part of this mural

On our last day in Garmisch, we had a great breakfast here. OK, OK, I know what you’re thinking, but “rats” in German means “council”, and the cafe is very close to the city hall. We think several councilors had breakfast when we did.

And right next door was, you guessed it, because wherever you go around the world…

Our last meal in Garmisch was in the patio of the restaurant Hubertus

Gail got a great photo of a bus there

We say goodbye to Garmish, and head to Iceland

Unfortunately, our friend Ken had a stroke right before we left. He and Cathy won’t be joining us in Iceland. Fortunately, he seems to be recovering well.
