Strolling around Grantown
Grantown was a great place to relax and take a breath from our journeys. August 8 to 10 were all very simliar: we rested, were entertained by the locals, walked into town, had one meal in town and the other in Sawmill Cabin.
The locals:

One day we went down to the river, the Spey

We ate at the Wee Puffin twice “No puffins were harmed during the making of these meals”

Traditional Scottish food: Haggis, Neeps (turnips), and Tatties (potatoes)

Balmoral chicken

Typical Grantown-on-Spey buildings

Typical flora

Tomorrow (Aug 11) we depart the lovely Grantown, and head to the southwest, where we’ll be staying close to the coastal town of Oban.
